GUI: Analysis: Files Tab

JavaScript is not currently enabled, but is required for full CodeSonar manual search and browse functionality.

If you are viewing this file in your hub's Web GUI, enable JavaScript in your browser: you will also need it for GUI functionality.

If you opened this file directly from disk, your browser may be directly suppressing JavaScript functionality: certain browsers perform this suppression on local files (but not files delivered by web servers) for security reasons.

If you access the manual through the hub's Web GUI, the functionality will not be suppressed because the hub is a web server.
Alternatively, your browser may allow you to explicitly disable the security setting that suppresses functionality. See the CodeSonar FAQ for more information.

GUI Reference: Analysis: Files Tab

The Files tab of an Analysis page displays information about each file analyzed by an analysis.

The Files tab is available for all analyses, independent of the language or languages involved.

Important Note: the CodeSonar Web GUI makes extensive use of JavaScript. Make sure JavaScript is enabled in your web browser.

The Files tab can be reached in any of the following ways.

From Analysis:	Select the Files tab.
From Source Listing:	Click the analysis name in the breadcrumbs. If the Files tab is an establishing page for a file browse sequence, each Source Listing page that belongs to the sequence will also provide a browse sequence navigation link to that tab.
By URL:	http://hub_location/analysis /analysis_id-files.html

From Analysis:

Select the Files tab.

From Source Listing:

Click the analysis name in the breadcrumbs.

If the Files tab is an establishing page for a file browse sequence, each Source Listing page that belongs to the sequence will also provide a browse sequence navigation link to that tab.

The Analysis: Files tab contains a table with one line for each file in the analysis. Where a file has multiple instances in the analysis, one instance is selected for display in this table.

The table has the standard pagination controls.

If this is the most recent analysis for the project, you can click on any line in the table to navigate to the corresponding Source Listing page. If it is not the most recent analysis, the source listing will not be available.

The available table columns are as follows. Columns displayed by default are marked with an asterisk (*).

Every built-in and user-defined file-granularity metric class present in at least one analysis that has taken place on the hub (subject to ANALYSIS_READ permission), each labeled with the metric class description. Lines With Code (LCode) is displayed by default.

The Charts menu option is available for chartable columns.

view a source listing for a file	Click the File Name in the corresponding table entry. Note that in some cases the version of the source file shown in the source listing will be different to the version described in the table: see Source Files: Availability for full details. The Source Listing will belong to a browse sequence for which the originating Files tab is the establishing page.
