Installation: Hub Setup: Hub License

JavaScript is not currently enabled, but is required for full CodeSonar manual search and browse functionality.

If you are viewing this file in your hub's Web GUI, enable JavaScript in your browser: you will also need it for GUI functionality.

If you opened this file directly from disk, your browser may be directly suppressing JavaScript functionality: certain browsers perform this suppression on local files (but not files delivered by web servers) for security reasons.

If you access the manual through the hub's Web GUI, the functionality will not be suppressed because the hub is a web server.
Alternatively, your browser may allow you to explicitly disable the security setting that suppresses functionality. See the CodeSonar FAQ for more information.

If you have started or upgraded a CodeSonar hub as part of the CodeSonar installation process, you will need to set up a license for the hub. This section provides a decision tree with links to license setup directions for typical installation cases.

If you have simply connected to a hub for which someone else is responsible, including any SaaS hub, you do not need to set up licensing and can go on to Installation: Finishing Up.

Use the following decision tree to choose the correct license setup option for your situation.

Have you created or upgraded (or do you intend to create/upgrade) a CodeSonar hub?

YES: You will need to set up a license for the hub.
Do you have a suitable license ready to apply?
- YES: Inspect the license. Does it does it contain an attribute of the form "floating":true?
  - YES: Go on to License Installation: Floating License.
  - NO: Go on to Hub License: Set Up a Standard License.
- NO: Go on to Hub License: Obtain a Signed License.
NO: If someone else in your organization has set up a hub for you to use, they should also have set up licensing for the hub: you do not need to set up your own license to build and analyze projects. Go on to Installation: Finishing Up.
