Task: Delete A Single Project Tree

Deleting a project tree T removes all the information associated with T:

The project tree description and other project tree summary information.
All information associated with all project trees that are descended from T (that is, all project trees whose ancestors include T).
All information associated with projects that are descended from T (that is, all projects whose ancestors include T).
All analyses of those projects.
All information associated with all warnings issued by those analyses, including user annotations.
All file instances belonging to those analyses.

Because removing a project tree deletes all this information, it is generally not recommended. Exceptions are the following cases.

The project tree was created in error.
All development and maintenance work on the project tree is finished, and you want to free up some space on the hub.

Permissions Required

The following permissions are required in order to delete a single project tree T in the manner described here.

To access the Project Tree page for T: PTREE_READ T
To perform the deletion:
- PTREE_DELETE T
- PTREE_DELETE S for all project trees S of which T is an ancestor
- PROJECT_DELETE P for all projects P of which T is an ancestor
- ANALYSIS_DELETE A for all analyses A of those projects

Delete A Single Project Tree

To delete a single project tree:

View the Project Tree page for the project tree you wish to delete.
Click the Project Tree Details link under the page heading.
Click on the remove this project tree link on the first line of the expanded section.
A confirmation dialog will open, as shown below.
Click Remove to delete the project tree, or Cancel to cancel project tree removal and close the confirmation dialog.
