Specifically, two or more identifiers have the same first N (case-sensitive) characters, where:

N depends on the setting of SIGNIFICANCE_LEN_OTHER.

The identifiers are declared in exactly the same scope.

At least one of the identifiers does not have external linkage.

None of the identifiers are macro identifiers.

Enabling

Checks for this warning class are disabled by default, and require the unnormalized C ASTs for the project. To enable them, add the following WARNING_FILTER rule and RETAIN_UNNORMALIZED_C_AST specification to the project configuration file.

Note that retaining the unnormalized ASTs will increase the disk space used to store the project representation, and may make the analysis take longer.

Note that declarations do not need to be in the same file in order to trigger a warning of this class.
