ROSLYN.DESIGN.CA1046 : Do not overload equality operator on reference types (C#)

See Roslyn-Detected C# Warning Classes for more information.

Summary

For reference types, the default implementation of the equality operator is almost always correct. By default, two references are equal only if they point to the same object. If the operator is providing meaningful value equality, the type should implement the generic 'System.IEquatable' interface.

This check corresponds to Roslyn rule CA1046. For full rule details, see the Microsoft website: CA1046.
